Man arrested for stealing identity of Inspector General of Police Boinett

Nairobi - A prison warder who has been impersonating the Inspector General of police on Facebook has been arrested in Kisumu.
The Star reported that Bevil Ogeda Ouko, attached to Kibos Main Prison, was also found with phone registered as Joseph K. Boinnet.
He had also opened a 'fake Facebook account' pretending to be the IG.
“Bevil is the holder of ID number 23608256 and has been using cell phone number 0722919125 registered as Joseph K. Boinnet for the illegal activities. He has also been using an alternative number, 0721488589,” a statement from police headquarters said.
Capital News reported that the officer was arrested while on paternity leave.
