Kenyans endorse Prof Makau Mutua for CJ

14 September 2016, 12:28

Nairobi - Kenyans on Twitter have endorsed Prof Makau Mutua for Chief Justice.

Prof Mutua, who had been disqualified from the race despite his impressive CV appeared before the JSC for an interview for the CJ post Wednesday morning.

Mutua, a renowned human rights Advisor and distinguished law Professor, was put to task over a tweet earlier where he said he would not recognise HE Uhuru Kenyatta as the President if appointed as head of Judiciary.

While responding to a question by AG Githu Muigai, he said that he had no problem working with the President.

Kenyans have overwhelmingly supported his bid for the CJ, saying he is the right person to head the Supreme Court.
