Kenyan govt official beats driver over sack of potatoes

Nairobi – A government official in Kiambu has been accused of physically harming and threatening the life of a county driver who refused to take his wife’s orders.
Joseph Kang'ethe was accused of breaking Geoffrey Muhia’s jaw after he refused to carry potatoes into the house on orders from Kang'ethe’s wife.
"She ordered me to carry the bag of potatoes, but I refused because it is not part of my job," Muhia told The Star.
According to The Kenyans Kang'ethe had since denied the allegation, deeming them "baseless and malicious".
However, Muhia shortly after the assault, went to the Kiambu Hospital where his injuries were confirmed.
