Nairobi - Jubilee MPs have compensated the businesswoman whose matatu was burnt during CORD protests on June 6.
The matatu was handed over to Agnes Macharia at her Kayole residence on Friday morning.
According to The Star, the new matatu was bought with funds raised by Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, Starehe MP Maina Kamanda, Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru and TNA Chair Johnson Sakaja, a vernacular radio station personality and members of the public.

The matatu was destroyed during CORD’s anti-IEBC protests, prompting her and other matatu owners to stage demos outside Raila Odinga’s office where they dumped the matatu wreck.
Raila however accused Jubilee of sponsoring the youth who burnt the demo as well as the subsequent demo against CORD, Citizen Digital reports.
