Nakuru - Inmates at the Naivasha Maximum Security Prison are now calling for the scrapping of death and life sentences.
The inmates decried that death and life sentences were subjecting them to psychological torture, and asked for more definitive jail terms.
Majority of inmates at the Prison are on death and life sentences, Daily Nation reports.
Last month, the Chief Justice Willy Mutunga released new guidelines on sentencing of criminals proposing mandatory death sentence to capital offenders.
However, those who were interviewed by The Star faulted the proposal saying it would affect their normal lives.
