India PM, Narendra Modi expected in the country at 4pm

Nairobi - India Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is expected in the country today evening for a two-day state visit.

Communication from the Presidency indicates that Modi will land at the JKIA from Tanzania at 4pm, after which he will proceed to the Kasarani National Stadium to speak to the Indian Diaspora.

He will receive a 19-gun salute on Monday during the formal reception ceremony at State House, followed by bilateral talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Modi will also visit UN offices in Gigiri and also the University of Nairobi, Citizen Digital reports.

Kenyans have been urged to brace for traffic disruptions during the visit.
