Nairobi - All the nine IEBC commissioners are contemplating resignation over issues raised by various parties.
The commissioners have been linked to various scandals in the 2013 polls, including corruption and procurement irregularities by both CORD and another petitioner by the name Barasa Nyukuri.
A report by Public Accounts committee (PAC) also found that some of the commissioners had mysteriously grown rich within a very short period of time.
According to Standard, the PAC report also established that the commissioners were involved in procurement malpractices in the run up to the 2013 polls.
Evidence of procurement irregularities has been detailed in Baraza’s petition.

Barasa, who is allegedly a former consultant for the commission, had called for the immediate replacement of the commissioners saying they cannot be trusted to conduct another election over integrity and incompetence issues.
On Tuesday, the Justice & Legal Affairs jointly with the Constitution Implementation and Oversight committees resolved to grill all the nine commissioners following a petition calling for their immediate replacement.
According to The Star, the two committees resolved to conduct the probe within two weeks.
CORD has also been pushing for the removal of the commissioners over integrity issues, leading to the formation of a 14-member committee from both CORD and Jubilee to solve the issues pitting the electoral body.
Last week, four of the commissioners wrote to the President expressing their desire to leave office ahead of the debate by the joint select committee.
