Huruma 'miracle' baby was found inside a bucket

Nairobi -The one and a half years old girl who was rescued from the collapsed Huruma building on Tuesday was found inside a bucket.

Kenya Red Cross, who have been looking for survivors since Friday, said the baby was also wrapped in a blanket.

In a press statement, they confirmed that she was well but had been rushed to the hospital for assessment.

“She appeared dehydrated, and with no physical injuries. She was taken to thr Kenyatta National Hospital by the Kenya Red Cross rescue vehicle, and is currently undergoing treatment.”

She had been buried in the rubble for about 80 hours, after the six-storey building collapsed on Friday.

So far, 22 people have been confirmed dead as rescue operations continue.
