GSU vehicle rolls several times, killing three officers

Nairobi - Three GSU officers died Tuesday evening after their vehicle was involved in an accident along the Kabarnet-Iten Road.
The officers were heading to Elgeyo Marakwet from Marigat when their vehicle veered off the road and rolled several times.
The Star reports that the driver lost control of the vehicle as he tried to negotiate a bend, causing the accident.
Three other officers are said to be undergoing treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral hospital after sustaining serious injuries.
The number of people who die in road accidents in the country has been rising, with statistics indicating that the number currently stands at 3,000 people yearly.
Most of these accidents have been blamed on speeding and drunk driving.
