Flood alert: NTSA identifies 13 flood-prone roads in the city

Nairobi - The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has released a list of 13 roads likely to flood as rains continue to pound the city.
According to a statement from the safety Authority Sunday, flood-prone roads in the city include; Lusaka road, Baricho road, Jogoo road near Makadara Law Courts, James Gichuru Road at Olenguruone Junction and near Convent Drive junction, Langata road (T-mall area), Muhoho/Popo Road Junction, Muhoho road at Ngong river crossing, Marcus Garvey/Chania Avenue Junction.
Road users have also been urged to be careful while using; Kipevu and Ushirika Road junction, Langata South Road at Tangaza College, Lower Kabete/Brookside drive junction, Jakaya Kikwete Road at outlet of main drainage from DOD and Lenana road next to DoD gate.

At least 23 people have died in the city since rains started on Thursday last week.
Four people died on Thursday after a perimeter wall collapsed on them on Lenana road off Ngong road, while two others died after floods swept away their car on Lusaka road on Friday.
19 others died after a building collapsed in Huruma on Friday night.
