Nairobi - Former Devolution, Anne Waiguru has made a scathing attack on the Office of the President, blaming it for her current woes.
Waiguru, who resigned last month over pressure from opposition and civil society, has been at the center of an ongoing probe into loss of KES 791 million at NYS.
Last week, EACC detectives raided her home in Kitusuru where they recovered some unspecified amount of money.
However, in a new twist Waiguru who has maintained innocence has accused the EACC of lack of independence, claiming it has been reduced to a department of the Office of the President.

These accusations come hot on the wheels of EACC declaration that Waiguru is a suspect in the ongoing probe into the NYS saga, and not a witness as earlier claimed by the DPP.
While making the declaration, EACC CEO, Halakhe Waqo noted that the Commission will be investigating 17 other individuals linked to the multi-million loss at NYS.
He however insisted that the management of resources at NYS was questionable under Waiguru's tenure, hence need to probe all those who were involved in the deals from the top to the bottom.
