Duale celebrates as son cracks A grade in KCSE

Nairobi - Majority Leader in the National Assembly Aden Duale is a happy man after his son passed the 2015 KCSE with flying colours.

Duale's son Abdul Razak, The Star reported, who attended Mang'u High School, scored an A- in the 2015 KCSE exam.

Razak attained 77 points with a B+ in English, Kiswahili B+, Mathematics A, Biology A, Physics B, Chemistry B+, History A and Business studies A-.

The National Assembly Majority leader praised him via Twitter saying: "My son has attained exemplary results. I thank the Almighty God, his mum, the principal and teachers of Mang'u. Congratulations," he stated.

Duale was not the only once celebrating exemplary KCSE results.

The Daily Nation reported the story of a girl who has had to go through a nightmare to pass her exams.

Warda Noor, an 18-year-old girl from the Majengo slums in Nyeri got her KCSE results that showed she had scored an A-.

The report states that born to a mother who was unemployed and a father who is a casual labourer, Noor attended Nyamachake Primary School and could not study at night because there was no power.

She also could not use the lantern long enough as her siblings had to sleep, nor was there enough paraffin to keep it lit for long.

Hers was among thousands of stories that littered the day of the release of the results.
