The 22-year-old man then attempted to steal the car but the Magistrate’s screams reached the ears of neighbours who went to rescue her.
They called police who arrested and took him to custody.
Cases of kidnappings are very rare in the country, with the only cases reported being conducted by Al Shabaab on the towns bordering Somali.
The most recent incident was reported in October last year, where a female teacher was kidnapped at Dadaab in Garissa County but rescued a few days later by KDF soldiers.
