Double tragedy as ambulance rolls, injuring patients aboard

Kisumu - It was double tragedy for two patients who were on their way to the hospital as the ambulance ferrying them crashed in Kisumu, worsening their condition.
The ambulance was taking two patients to the Jaramogi Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu when the driver swerved and rolled three times.
Standard reports that he was speeding in a bid to save their lives, only to crash and inflict more injuries on them.

Apart from the two patients, six other people on board the ambulance also sustained injuries and were rushed to Ahero County Hospital for treatment.
One of those injured was a student alongside his three relatives who had accompanied him to the hospital.
Road accidents have been very rampant on Kenyan roads.
According to statistics, around 3,000 people lose their lives on the roads annually.
