BREAKING: KWS intercept and capture stray lion

18 March 2016, 14:59

Nairobi – The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) have finally been able to capture the escaped lion that caused chaos on the busy Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.

According to Citizen TV the lion also on Friday morning mauled an elderly man.

The lion is reported to have been intercepted near the City Cabana footbridge.

Residents now say they live in fear of lions that could potentially escape from Nairobi National Park.

Standard Media in February initially reported on six lions straying from the national park causing an atmosphere of fear.

While one lioness and her three cubs returned to the park, the rest of the pack was at large.
