AP Officer arrested for bribing Nigerian student

Constable Peter Mburu is reported to have approached
Nigerian student, Abdul Rasheed Abedala who attends the United States
International University-Africa (USIU) along with another officer blackmailing him, stating they would plant bhang on the victim and threatened to be deportation.
The second officer is yet to be found.

This is not the first instance in recent times were AP officers are implicated in crimes.
Four junior officers,
who are all members of a special unit tasked with ministerial security, were
arrested in the beginning of March using a government-owned vehicle to sell
five kilogrammes (11 pounds) of ivory, with a market value of around $5 500.
