William Ruto concerned about new witnesses
09 September 2013, 20:07
Hague - Deputy president William Ruto says he is concerned about the late inclusion of two new witnesses into the trial, saying it is prejudicial to the case, Capital FM reports.
His team, led by lawyer Karim Khan, said it will request an adjournment of the trial if the statements made by
the two witnesses have a large bearing on the case.
Khan argued that the Judges erred by allowing the Prosecutor to
include the new witnesses at the 11th hour, denying the Defence a chance
to review them and prepare adequately.
