Nairobi – Kenya has begun three days of national mourning following
the end of the four-day siege by Al Shabaab militants at the Westgate mall in
Nairobi, BBC reported on Thursday.
President Uhuru Kenyatta announced on Wednesday that the
siege at the shopping mall was over, but said the attack by the militants were "immense" and 67 people had died.
The report said that the number of the dead was expected to
rise as the clearing of the mall continued.
Several bodies, including those of some attackers, are
thought to be trapped under rubble after three floors of the building collapsed
following a blaze.
