Visiting CAR president kept waiting
31 July 2013, 12:09
Nairobi - Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has said there was no intention to keep visiting Central Africa Republic president Michel Am-Nondokro Djotodia waiting in his plane for nearly an hour at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Kibicho attributed the wait to the protocol accorded to first-time visiting heads of state which requires longer clearances, Daily Nation report.
CAR president arrived on Tuesday to attend a special summit of the International Great Lakes Region together with 11 other regional leaders, whereby they are expected to discuss security and regional trade.
