Nairobi - Reports by the Daily Nation indicate that graduation ceremonies and examinations in public universities are in danger of being cancelled after a strike by lecturers demanding a pay hike begun on Wednesday, paralysing academic programmes.
When lecturers of Nairobi, Moi, Masinde Muliro and Kenya Polytechnic universities went on strike, some students were sitting their end of semester examinations.
Libraries and laboratories also remained closed at the 22 public universities and constituent colleges, as a graduation ceremony scheduled at the Kenya Polytechnic was thrown into disarray.
