Unknown men kidnap assistant chief in Naro Moru

Naro Moru - A group of unknown men kidnapped Pauline Nyambura Mathenge, the Solio assistant chief in Naro Moru, and took her to an unknown location.
Her phone had been switched off after the incident that happened on Wednesday night.
According to police, a group of about five men kidnapped Mathenge and drove away with her leaving her young children behind.
It is said that she had separated with her husband who works in Nairobi, Daily Nation reports.
Earlier this week Kirinyanga County Commissioner said the government had established a special police unit that will deal exclusively with cases of kidnapping, which have engulfed the country.
