Undercover Al Shabaab operative in Parliament remanded

Nairobi - Milimani Court has remanded Ali Abdulmajid Ahmed for 10 days pending investigations into allegations that he was planning to plant bombs in Parliament.
Abdulmajid, who has been working in Senate for 10 years is allegedly an undercover Al Shabaab operative.
Anti terror police had requested to hold him for 20 days as they probe into claims linking Abdulmajid to the Al Shabaab terror group, The Standard reports.

Further reports indicate that the Senate staff is also the vice chairman of Riyadh mosque which has previously been linked to terror activities in the country.
