Uhuru urges Kenyans to embrace religious values

01 July 2013, 12:05 PPS

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Kenyans to strongly uphold religious values and seek God’s guidance in order to succeed in their endeavors.

Addressing the congregation on Sunday after attending a church service at Jesus Winner Church at Roysambu, President Kenyatta said Kenya is a God-fearing nation and will not endorse immorality.

The President thanked the congregation for praying for him and the country before, during and after the elections, saying God answered their prayers and the Jubilee Coalition emerged victorious.

The Head of State said prayers also enabled Kenyans to conduct the elections peacefully and remain united as a nation.

“Before we went for the elections, I came here for prayers. Now, I have come back to thank God for His blessings to our country. I am also here to thank you for your prayers,” President Kenyatta said.

Appealing to Kenyans to continue praying for the country, President Kenyatta expressed confidence that prayers will enable the country to overcome any challenges ahead.
