Uhuru tells Knut to obey court order

Nairobi - The Standard reports President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday asked the teachers union to obey a court order and engage the government in talks over their pay increase demands.
Speaking when he hosted a media breakfast meeting at State House, Nairobi, President Kenyatta said that the government is willing to negotiate with the striking teachers if they abide by the rule of law.
He rejected calls by the teachers to be given the laptops project money, saying that it will not be possible since the project was a major promise by the Jubilee Coalition during the campaigns.
