Uhuru signs County Revenue Bill into law

Nairobi - The County Allocation of Revenue Bill, 2013 has been signed into law by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday, at State House, Nairobi.
The new law according to Capital News, will ease the division, among counties, of conditional allocations and equitable share of revenue allocated to the county level of Government on the basis determined in accordance with the resolution in force under article 217 of the Constitution for the Financial Year 2013/14.
The Act which had to be fast tracked, will facilitate the transfer of allocations made to the counties from the Consolidated Fund to the respective County Revenue Funds, in order to enable governors to speedily implement their programmes and deliver services to their people.
