Uhuru heads to China, Russia to woo investors

Nairobi - President Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret will lead a delegation of more than 60 for an eight-day visit to Russia and China starting Thursday, in a bid to woo investors in the energy sector.
Confirming the trip, State House on Wednesday in a statement to Daily Nation, that the trip that shall include cabinet secretaries, governors and MPs from both the government and the Opposition is geared to market Kenya’s newly discovered mineral wealth in the East.
Their first stop will be Moscow, where the President and his entourage will woo investors to open new markets for Kenya’s traditional exports such as coffee, tea, and fresh produce, and further discussions will also focus on new investment in innovation and technology.
