Uhuru euologizes former Gatundu MP Nyumu

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta has eulogized former Gatundu South MP Joseph Nyumu who died from cardiac arrest.

The MP collapsed in his bathroom Wednesday morning and was announced dead on arrival in hospital.

Numerous MPs and friends have already started paying tribute to the departed MP, who was described by many as a quiet, yet articulate man.

" This morning, I learnt with deep sorrow and shock about the untimely passing away of my area MP and friend, the Hon Joseph Ngugi

" In this hour of sorrow, I convey my deep sympathies and heartfelt condolences to Hon Ngugi’s family, friends and residents of Gatundu South.

" With deep grief, I join his wife Joyce, children, and entire family; as well as the people of Gatundu South in mourning his loss.

" He was a man of purpose and vision and will be missed, he said in a statement.

Nyumu was said to have developed a heavy heart attack which has at the moment been reported as the cause of his death.
