Truth team tells police and judges to apologise

Nairobi - Daily Nation reports President Uhuru Kenyatta has been asked to offer an apology to Kenyans for the injustices and human rights violations that were carried out since independence to February 2008.
This is included in the list of apologies in the the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) report for violations committed between December 12, 1963 and February 28, 2008.
In the report that was presented to President Kenyatta at State House Nairobi Tuesday, TJRC also proposed that the government should negotiate with the British government to compensate the victims of atrocities and injustices committed during the colonial period.
