Transitional Authority opposed to disbandment plans

Nairobi - The Transition Authority has opposed plans to have it dissolved and instead a committee formed to take up its roles.
According to TA chairman Kinuthia Wamwangi, the move would cause a delay in the transfer of functions from the national government to the devolved units if adopted by Parliament, Daily Nation reports.
He said they did not expect such a thing to happen at the time when they are struggling to ensure that devolution succeeds in the country.
