Training of trainers for Class 1 laptop project kicks of

Nairobi - The ministry of education has selected several Secondary school teachers to train their primary school counterparts on how to handle laptop subjects ahead of the implementation of the Standard One laptop project in 2014.
According to Daily Nation, 150 trainers are currently meeting at the Kenya Education Management Institute for a two-day briefing before they embark on their mission in the Counties. A total of 60,000 Primary School teachers in 20,000 primary schools across the country will receive the training.
Education Principal Secretary, Belio Kipsang, said that the laptops supplier will be named early next week once the evaluation of tender bids is complete.
