Nairobi - A central Kenya MP, a Rift Valley governor and two influential businessmen are reportedly part of an international ivory smuggling ring operating in the country.
Daily Nation reports that police officers and Kenya Wildlife Service and Kenya Revenue Authority officials dealing with the ongoing investigations said they were investigating the individuals and their links to poaching and illegal ivory trade.
The four have been linked to a container full of ivory intercepted at the port of Mombasa last month, that included ivory stolen from the Mombasa State House.
