Three dead in land clashes

Nairobi - Clashes between two rival clans competing over land ownership left three people dead and dozens wounded, the Red Cross said on Friday.
The clashes took place in Hantut village, 35km from the Ethiopian border. It was unclear which side instigated the violence.
Clan rivalries often escalate into bloodshed in remote areas of the country where small arms are common and poverty is rife.
In July 2012, eighteen people were killed in clashes in the same area, displacing thousands.
