Nairobi - The government has been asked to implement the laptop project for Standard One Pupils as promised.
According to the Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (Kuppet) chairman Omboko Milemba, if the project is not implemented then the meant for its implementation should be given to teachers, The Standard reports.
He said the government prioritized the project and did not meet the teachers’ demands during their last strike.
Education Cabinet Secretary Jacob Kaimenyi cancelled the tenders for the project saying that the bidders quotations were close to three times the estimated budget.
