Teachers get 10 days' salary

Nairobi - Teachers in public primary schools got a rude shock on Thursday when they received their July pay, as it was for only working 10 days in July.
According to Daily Nation, the teachers who were worst hit were those with bank loans, as some got paychecks with negative balances due to deductions by the lending institutions.
However the secretary of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Gabriel Lengoibon, was quick to reassure the teachers saying the payroll was being prepared and may be ready by early next week.
