Teachers defy return to work order

Nairobi - Capital News reports teachers in public schools across the country on Tuesday defied a court order that required them to report back to work.
The teachers stayed away from classes even after Attorney General Githu Muigai warned them that they risk imprisonment and penalties if they defy the Industrial court's order issued on Monday.
The strike enters its second day with Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) national chairman maintaining that it will go on until the government pays the teachers KES 47 billion.
