Nairobi - An objection to the Supreme Court's jurisdiction to hear any matter relating to the presidential poll petition has been raised by the Law Society of Kenya chairman Eric Mutua.
According to Daily Nation, Mutua raised the matter through his lawyer Tom Ojienda, who said the matter was now closed and the court could not expend itself on any issue arising from the petition.
The President of the Supreme Court, Chief Justice Willy Mutunga had directed interested parties to file submissions in seven days, saying a ruling on Mutua's objection would be made later.
