Striking KNH doctors suspended
04 September 2012, 13:37
Nairobi - The Standard reports that all striking government registrars and interns at the Kenyatta National Hospital have been suspended by the Ministry Medical Services.
The hospital has been feeling the pinch of the absence of trainee doctors who were officially called registrars. They are general doctors who are training to specialise in various fields of medicine.
Kenyatta National Hospital has about 400 registrars who offer a wide range of services, and as a result of the move, a total of 393 registars who were practicing at the referral hospital have lost their jobs.
