Stolen Presidential escort car returned

Nairobi - The presidential escort car that was stolen in Nairobi and recovered in Uganda has been handed over to the government.
The Inspector General of Police, David Kimaiyo confirmed that Ugandan authorities had handed over the vehicle to the Kenyan government on Thursday, Daily Nation reports.

He however refuted reports that Ugandans had detained the vehicle demanding for proof that it belonged to the presidential escort unit.
Kimaiyo said investigations were being conducted to establish who stole the car last week Wednesday and warned that any government officer who will be found to have erred in the handling of the vehicle will be punished.
