Shollei to begin her defence before JSC Friday

16 October 2013, 22:15

Nairobi -The Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Gladys Boss Shollei will be summoned in front of  the Judicial Service Commission on Friday to begin her defence on charges of misconduct,  this came after her objections were dismissed by the commission, Capital FM reports.

Shollei had appeared on Wednesday in front of the JSC for a meeting in which she raised objections which pertained to whether the JSC had any jurisdiction to summon her.

Her lawyer, Donald Kipkorir indicated in a statement that Shollei deemed she  was only entitled to answer to Parliament, the Auditor General, Public Procurement Oversight Authority (PPOA) and the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC).
