Nairobi - A senior CID officer has been arrested by the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision EACC for taking a KES 35,000 bribe.
Tigania West CID boss James Oludhe was Monday arrested by the EACC for allegedly
soliciting the bribe from a teacher.
EACC officers said that the suspect asked for
the bribe so that he would not write a letter of interdiction to
be forwarded to the Teachers Service Commission.
The aggrived party, a Stanley Mwiti reported the matter to the EACC on Friday and
recorded a statement Saturday before recording his conversation with Oludhe.
Oludhe was held at the Isiolo EACC office, where he recorded a statement over the matter.
When reached by News24 to make a statement, Oludhe declined.
" The recording places him in a serious position, an EACC detective handling the case told News24.
