Nairobi - Police has beefed up security in shopping malls across the capital after the attack on the Westgate mall, senior Interior Ministry official Mutea Iringo said Saturday.
"We reassure Kenyans that government will not relent on this war against armed criminals," he told a news conference.
No one has so far claimed the attack, which, according to the Kenyan Red Cross, left at least 20 dead and some 50 wounded.
Another top-end mall, Village Market, closed very soon after the attack.
Kenya's largest supermarket chain Nakumatt said it was closing most of its Nairobi stores.
