Scores injured as building collapses in Makongeni

Nairobi - Seven people have been rescued while several others are still trapped in a building that collapsed in Nairobi’s Makongeni estate.
Nairobi County Director of Communications Walter Mong’are said the building collapsed at around 3am Wednesday and a rescue operation was being carried out to have those trapped in the building evacuated, Daily Nation reports.
He said they had not established what led to the collapse of the building adding that there was no specific data on the occupants of the collapsed.
Four out of the seven people rescued from the building were referred to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
