Ruto urged to settle land case

Nairobi - Lawyers who represented Deputy President William Ruto in a land case have urged him not to to appeal against a court ruling that he compensates a post-election violence victim KES 5 million.
According to Daily Nation reports, the lawyers cautioned him as the appeal may not work in his favour as he was not involved in the fraudulent acquisition of the 100-acre farm and that he was as much a victim as the land owner.
The legal team have advised their client to settle the matter by handing over the land to Adrian Gilbert Muteshi and to comply with the court order to compensate Muteshi.
