Nairobi - Criminal gangs in Bungoma and Busia Counties can expect a firm hand from Police, following orders from Deputy President William Ruto.
Ruto has instructed police to deal firmly with gangs terrorising residents in these counties, using force if necessary, Daily Nation reports.
"Any individuals or groups who take up arms to terrorise residents must be met with the full force of the law. Police have clear instructions to deal with individuals who have armed themselves," Ruto said after a meeting at Bungoma's Posta grounds.
