Nairobi - Deputy President William Ruto is back in the country from The Hague, where he had gone to attend the beginning of his trial at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Ruto, together with his wife Rachael, arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Thursday morning and were received by Labour Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi, Centre for Multiparty Democracy chairman Omingo Magara, Senators Kipchumba Murkomen and Linet Kemunto among other leaders, Daily Nation reports.
The proceedings of Joshua Sang and Ruto’s trial were stopped abruptly after the prosecution failed to call the first witness to testify against the two. The court will resume on Tuesday next week.
