Nairobi - ICC Pre- trial Chambers Judge Ekaterina Trendafilova read out the verdict, on Monday that confirmed charges against Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Eldoret North Member of Parliament William Ruto, Head of civil service Francis Muthaura and radio presenter Joshua arap Sang, for having financed and organised the 2008 post election violence.
ODM party chairman Henry Kosgey and Post Master General Hussein Ali and their supporters were happy to hear charges against them were not confirmed.
Many Kenyans were awaiting the verdict with abated breathe and the reactions were subdued. Since 2008, the country has been waiting for justice to be meted out to the perpetrators of the violence that rocked the Nation and divided them among tribal and ethnic lines.
Years down the line we still have a number of the victims who were displaced are still languishing in camps dotting the country.
