Moyale - Moyale Central residents were forced to flee for safety when a gun battle broke out between two clans in the town.
Authorities said the battle which lasted for about eight hours involved the use of machine guns forcing Kenya army from Odha camp to intervene. Security has been tightened along the Kenya-Ethiopia border to prevent fighters from entering the two countries, The Standard reports.
According to Marsabit County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru, the number of deaths could not be established immediately since police had not reached at the scene.
