Relief for Muthaura after case withdrawal
13 March 2013, 16:40
Nairobi - The Standard reports former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura would not celebrate the withdrawal of his case at the ICC saying he feels the justice system at court was abused and manhandled.
Addressing the media at Nairobi’s Serena Hotel, Muthaura said though he felt relieved by the developments, he cannot afford to celebrate because the ICC case broke his heart.
He said the ICC case broke his heart, not only because he was charged, but much more so because he had seen justice abused and manhandled by those whose primary duty it was to respect it and safeguard it at all costs.
