Relief as government releases money for free education

Nairobi - The government has released KES 3.2 billion and KES 8 billion for free Primary and Secondary education respectively.
Speaking Wednesday, Education Principal Secretary Bellio Kipsang urged schools to check their accounts for the money.
The government had allocated KES 14.5 billion for free primary education and KES 32 billion for free secondary education, Daily Nation reports.

However, the delayed release of the funds had threatened to cripple ongoing national exams after stationers pledged not to supply examination materials over arrears.
