Private universities oppose scrapping of 8.4.4.

Nairobi – Private universities, as well as former President Moi are opposed to a proposal to scrap the 8-4-4 system by authorities.
The Education Task Force recommends a shift from the 8-4-4 to the 2-6-6-4 system of education.
Mr Simon Gicharu, Chairman of the National Association of Private Universities in Kenya (Napuk), asked Government to hold more consultations before making changes to the system.
